• 1. What grades are offered at the BKIK？

  BKIK provides classes ranging from Pre-K to K3, enrolling children aged 2 to 6.

• 2. Are there any restrictions on residency or nationality for admission？

  BKIK does not impose restrictions on residency or nationality. As long as the child is healthy and meets the age requirements, they are eligible to apply.

• 3. What are the qualifications of the teachers, and what is the teacher-to-student ratio？

  All teachers have undergone professional training certified by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) and hold official IB teaching certificates. The kindergarten ensures a strictly maintained teacher-to-student ratio of 1:3 to 1:6, tailored to the needs of different age groups, ensuring each child receives adequate attention.

• 4. What outdoor spaces and activities does the kindergarten offer？

  The kindergarten spans a total area of 1,861 square metres, with a 620-square-metre outdoor area featuring a playground, running track, lawn, climbing zone, and rooftop activity area. Indoor facilities include a multifunctional room, sensory room, LEGO room, and IB City. These spaces are thoughtfully designed to support children’s physical development while providing rich opportunities for exploration and learning, fostering their holistic growth.

• 5. How can parents stay informed about their child’s learning at the kindergarten？

  We offer various opportunities for parents to engage and observe, including:
  Learning Journey
  One-to-one parent-teacher meetings
  Community practice and parent volunteer programmes
  Parent workshop
  We use ManageBac, the world’s only IB-authorised learning management platform, to support curriculum delivery and assessment. Through this platform, parents can access daily teaching photos, weekly plans, unit inquiry reports, student growth assessments, and learning portfolios, offering a comprehensive view of their child’s progress and development.

• 6. What meals are provided at the BKIK？

  BKIK provides breakfast, fruit snack, lunch and afternoon snack for children. The kitchen has been certified Grade A since 2016, with ingredients supplied by designated vendors to ensure food safety and quality.
  Before the start of term, the logistics team collects and organises information about students’ allergies, working closely with the kitchen to ensure safe and nutritious alternative meals for children with specific dietary needs.

• 7. Is a school bus service available

  Yes, BKIK offers a school bus service covering the Zhujiang New Town area, providing convenience for parents.

• 8. Admission Process:

  Schedule a tour: Parents can contact the Admissions Office to arrange a campus tour and learn more about the kindergarten.
  Submit application materials: Parents need to complete and submit the Application for Admission Form to the Admissions Office.
  Arrange an interview: Within one week of submitting the application form, the Admissions Office will schedule an admission interview for the child.
  Admission assessment: Teachers will interview the child to assess their developmental stage and adaptability.
  Admission notice: Parents of successful applicants will receive an admission notice and class allocation details.
  Submit required documents: Parents must provide necessary documents, such as the child’s ID card and birth certificate, to the Admissions Office for verification.
  Document verification: The Admissions Office will review the documents and complete the child’s admission process.
  Fee payment and registration: Parents must pay the tuition fees by the specified deadline to secure the child’s place.
