BKIK Safeguarding Policy

At BKIK, the safety and well-being of our children is our highest priority. We are dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive. To this end, all staff and volunteers undergo thorough background checks and receive comprehensive training on recognising and reporting signs of abuse and neglect. We believe in open communication with parents and caregivers, encouraging them to share any concerns about their child's safety and welfare.

Our approach is child-centred, placing the welfare of the child at the forefront of our policies. The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) oversees all safeguarding practices and is responsible for addressing any concerns that arise. We respect confidentiality and share information only when necessary to protect children's well-being. Regular training ensures that our staff is equipped to handle safeguarding issues effectively.

This policy will be reviewed annually to maintain its effectiveness and to ensure alignment with current legislation and best practices. We are committed to continuous improvement in our safeguarding efforts. For any safeguarding concerns or inquiries, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
